Corin Forest Snow Dogs · September 2026
Six days in September, at Corin Forest's Snow Dogs. The only time dogs can come up the mountain, and the only chance to have yours photographed there.
Book your mini sessionWhy the snow
You watch them work out what it is. The first careful paw, then the moment they decide it is the best thing that has ever happened to them.
And Corin in September gives you a backdrop you cannot get anywhere near Canberra. Snow gums, and a clean white ground that makes a dog look like the only thing in the world. It photographs like somewhere you flew to.
Picture that piece on your wall. Printed properly and hanging where you walk past it every day, giving you a lift on the ordinary days and a bigger one on the hard days.
You will take photos on your phone as well, and you should. Snow is just brutal on a phone though, all that white tells it to darken everything else, so your dog ends up a shape against a grey sky. The twenty minutes with me is for the one you actually hang.
Read this bit first
Most people at Snow Dogs have driven up for the day and drive home somewhere else afterwards. So this is built for that, rather than treating it as the exception.
Your session happens on the mountain while you are here. Everything after it happens from wherever you live. We go through your images together over Zoom, and your artwork is posted to you.
What you get
One mini session in each Snow Dogs hour, six a day across six days. Space on the snow is limited, so this is thirty six in total and that is the season. Your Corin entry is booked separately with Corin.
How it runs
$190 here, choosing a start time: 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm or 2pm. Then pick your Zoom ordering appointment on the very next screen, while you are thinking about it. That is the part people mean to sort out later and then do not, so we do it now.
I send you straight there once you are booked in with me. Entry is $27.50 per person and dogs enter free. This one is booked with Corin Forest, not with me.
Find me in the Snow Dogs area at your time. Your dog does not need to sit still and does not need to be well behaved. You just turn up and have a fun, shared experience with your dog.
We look through your images together over Zoom, one to two weeks after your session. You choose your print, and anything else you fall in love with. I will show you how each piece looks at real size on your own wall.
Everything is made at a professional photographic lab and posted to you, wherever you are.
What it becomes
Before you book
What you are paying for today is the session. Your fine art print and its matching digital file are included, and you have $100 of credit to put toward anything else.
Everything I make is printed. At your ordering appointment we go through your images together and design what goes on your wall. My print collections start at $990, and single digital files are $200 each, so there is a way in wherever you land. I will show you everything with prices before we meet.
You only buy what you love. I would much rather you knew this today than found out in a month.
Choose anything printed and I will add another $100 to your credit. Prints or a wall piece, and your credit becomes $200, on top of the print you already have.
Read this before you book
Snow Dogs is Corin Forest's event, not mine. Their sessions run for an hour, and entry is $27.50 per person with dogs free, booked directly with them. Book your time with me first, then I will send you straight to Corin to book your entry for the same hour. You keep the whole hour on the snow. I just borrow twenty minutes of it.
Because it is their event, we share it. There will be other dogs and other people, and the Snow Dogs area is small. That is a different thing to a private session where I have a whole location and hours to work with. Here I work around the crowd and find the pockets, and your dog will be far too busy with the snow to notice me at all.
Snow Dogs is also the only time dogs can come up to Corin, so this is the only way to have your dog photographed in the snow with me. If a quiet, unhurried session matters more to you than the snow does, send me a message and we will plan a full session somewhere else.
Secure your spot
$190 today. You choose your hour on the snow and your Zoom ordering appointment on the next screen, then I will point you to Corin for your entry.
Who is taking the photos
I have photographed over a thousand dogs around Canberra over the last six and a half years, from my studio in Jerrabomberra to most of the good spots in the ACT. I am a Sony Australia brand advocate.
I started all of this because of my own dog, Mac. He died in 2019, and his photographs turned out to be the thing I was most glad I had. That is why everything I make is printed, and why I would rather you ended up with one piece you love than a folder you forget about.
The snow days
Snow Dogs runs every Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 27 September. Sessions are on the hour at 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm, and I have one mini session in each of them. Thirty six in total, and that is the season.
Good questions
If the conditions are not safe or workable on your day, we move you to another snow day. Your session is never lost.
Yes. Snow Dogs is an on-lead event. Corin asks that every dog stays on lead out of respect for the native wildlife in the surrounding Namadgi National Park.
A lead never spoils the photos. I remove it from your final images, so your artwork still looks free and joyful.
Your dog does not need to sit still and does not need to be well behaved. I have photographed over a thousand dogs over the last six and a half years and not one of them has been un-photographable.
We work with your dog's personality rather than against it. That is the whole point, it is what we are capturing.
Twenty minutes with me, inside your one hour Snow Dogs session, so you still have the rest of the hour to play. Corin Forest is about a 45 minute drive from Canberra.
Yes, up to two dogs is included. If you have more than two, send me a message before you book and we will work it out.
One to two weeks after your session, over Zoom, and you book the time when you book your session so it is already locked in.
We go through your images together for the first time on that call. You choose the print that is included, and I will show you how any piece looks at real size on your own wall before you decide anything. You only buy what you love.
Two reasons, and the first one is simply practical. I only retouch the images you actually choose, so until we have sat down together there is nothing finished to send you.
The second is that a folder of files does not do the day justice. You share one to Instagram, and then it sits in your camera roll, and six months later you are scrolling back through hundreds of photos trying to find it again. Most people fully intend to print them and never get around to it. The ones who do usually end up at Officeworks or Kmart, and the quality is not good enough for images like these.
At your appointment I show you everything at proper size, on a photo of your own wall, so you are deciding rather than guessing from a phone screen. It takes about an hour and you can do it from anywhere.
Digital files are absolutely part of it, and plenty of people choose them. This is about choosing them properly. You only buy what you love.
Everything is made at a professional photographic lab, checked by me, then posted to you. Your included print goes in the same parcel as anything else you order, so it all arrives together.
Your print, its matching digital file, and $100 of credit are already included in your $190. Beyond that, my collections start at $990, and digital files are available too.
Your $100 comes off whatever you choose, files included. Choose anything printed and I will add another $100, so your credit becomes $200. I will show you everything with prices at your appointment, and there are payment plans if that helps.
Book your mini session for $190. Choose the time that matches your Corin hour, then book your Zoom ordering appointment, both on the next screen.
